Funny shot, Erik! :) Is it kind of a gargoyle? cheers, archrodney!
Yes, it's a gargoyle, Archrodney! I found this one in a small village near the Signal de Lure, in the northern part of the Provence. Actually I liked to present a small gargoyle series, but until now I've only got 4 of them...;-) The 'Hungarian Gargoyle' is in front of the Gellert Bath Hotel. Do you know it?
Never been there, but saw it on picture. This gargoyle serie is a good idea, not too many people deal with something like that. "Everybody" captures the same beaches or sunsets and it sounds unique and refreshing. So I say keep it up! cheers, archrodney!
Thank you for the kind words, archrodney! You have a point. If we take a broader look at Panoramio we can discover patterns in which pictures and subject matter are the real crowd pleasers. I tend to try (not always) to take a slightly different approach in my photography and I appreciate it very much that you picked it up.
Wouldn't it be a nice idea for you to make and present a small series of things in your neighbourhood or city that are very Hungarian, cannot be found elsewhere and that we as foreigners usually miss? Some type of decoration in architecture e.g. (small scale, details etc or other things that you like). Maybe it's a stimulating idea for taking new pictures...
Best wishes, Erik
