This looks interesting almost a bit like the north sea tideland (only there will be no mountain anywhere near it). Is this sea water at all?

In reply to your question, yes, it is a sea water. You may see abundant water the next day when there is flood tide. It is common for mangrove forest. :)

You are absolutely CORRECT that mangrove forests are in danger. Mangrove trees help protect tropical sea shores from Tsunami and big storms. The trees are habitats to many fishes and birds and can be used as a good fuel.

The land is highly fertile though there is not even a single mango tree. It gives us some hope.
