Great tank traps, although I dont't think they saw any action! I have been visiting Fairbourne since the 1960's and can remember these when they were all upright and the stones were not so high around them. Still a beautiful beach, any weather! Must have been a good day when this was taken because you can see Barmouth in the distance on the right and the Llyn Peninsula across the bay.

Dear TigerEllis,

I am writing to you on behalf of Magnum photographer Carl De Keyzer.

Carl is photographing the European coast in order to document the rising of water.

In order to help him,

I would ask you some information on that location, on the access to that place and to know if we need some autorization. Thanks by advance for you answer! You can write me to that email : magnum@magnumphotos.fr.

Best regards, A.

Dear Documentare

Many apologies for not responding sooner; I did not notice your comment until now. Fairbourne beach is open to the public. The town is lower than then beach, hence the major sea defence, which includes these concrete blocks; affectionately call Dragon's Teeth.

Regards, Tiger
