Good morning David. That is the good thing about living in San Diego. You have the beach and just inland there is mountains. If you go 70 more miles further there is a beautiful desert. I think that is why people come here. Whether for vacation or to move, plus we have great weather. Boy, don't I sound like a travel brochure. I took this photo from a cruise ship. I was leaving San Diego for a 7 day cruise up to Canada and this is a shot from my veranda. Talk to you later. Sharon

Hello Sharon. Lovely photo once again.I have just been looking through your photos again and I saw this one again, and thought I would have another look. This time I went 70 miles inland to look at beautiful desert.I am sure there is lots to see there. I know there is,even in place one would think there is nothing.I took trip across Nalabour Plain on The Indian Pacific and looking out the train window, as first only saw low scrub, but there was really more if you looked closely. Along the railway line Telephone poles made Railway line and on the tops of most of them, there were Wedge Tailed Eagle nest, as there were no trees out there. And when the train would stop at these little sidding to drop off mail, it was interesting to see the happy faces of the people who came out to greet the train drivers along the way.Ohhh, I am getting side tracked again!!, Best Regards,David:-)
