Thanks very much Ed. It's great to hear from you. Hope you are doing well and staying warm out there in beautiful Rocky Mountain country. :) Not an HDR. This is one exposure that gets it's range partly from me using a Grad ND filter on camera and partly from some selective lighting using Nikon Capture NX2. The magazine prefered a single shot image for the article. Although a well made HDR is very difficult to detect. Quite flattered by the question my friend. :)
Best regards, Tom
Many thanks Blai for those wonderful comments and especially for the Y*. :) Very glad you like it.

Greetings from Virginia USA,
An excellent photo, Tom! Y*! I love the power and greatness of nature it shows! Best wishes, May
This photo brings back memories...years ago my cousin and I went down to the base of the falls in this picture and went swimming. I know, NOT ALLOWED, and when the park rangers saw us they freaked out! Luckily, we didn't drown (we were both good swimmers - as if that would make any difference!) and even more important, didn't get caught by the rangers! Your photo captures how it looked for me then...powerful with a full-on current! Regards, SirFin
P.S. I really like your HDR photos...have added you to my fav list!
Its a nice place for beautiful pictures like this.Greetings Tom from Mexico
Thank you very much May for those very nice words and especially for the Y*. Happy you enjoy it. :)
Even I in my crazy youth never braved these waters SirFin. You and your cousin were brave, crazy and lucky you didn't meet your maker. :) Very happy to have brought back fond memories and thanks for the nice comments about this image and my HDR work. I've just had a quick look at your gallery and will get into it extensively soon. Looks like some nice HDR work as well. Will stick you in my fav list as well. :)
A very nice place for beautiful shots J.Ernesto Ortiz Razo. :) Thank you very much.
Best regards to all,
As Paul Harvey would say... The Rest Of The Story is that after trying to swim at Great Falls, I ended up surfing the North Shore of Hawaii in 15-20 ft. surf. Again, as you say, brave, crazy and lucky kept me alive - but must say that Great Falls dip in the river prepared me for that tremendous surf in Hawaii! Appreciate the addition to your favs list...that's a compliment for sure! I look forward to seeing more that you post! Best, SirFin
Hi Tom! A wonderful scene, such gentle colours and great motion in the water, no need to tell you where it is going ;)

Many thanks to you, Daniel. Glad you've found a few minutes, as a new father, to visit and leave much appreciated words. :)
This is wonderful Tom. I never tire of seeing your images of these wonderful falls. The chances are I'll never see them in person so your collection is all the more special.
Very kind of you to say John. I am quite flattered by your words. Thank you. I will strive to continue to bring this gem to you in all of it's many faces. :)
