JLourenco, I just came across these photos of Lake Muskoka. This lake is very familiar to my husband and me, because his cousin used to rent a cottage on the lake for many years and we visited her during each summer.
Lovely, to come across these beautiful photos you took. How did you get up there? and why?
Greetings, Doerthe

MANANAHANA Thank you for your kind visit and words! This lake is well known for big cottages and celebrities spending their summers around Lake Muskoka! This ship was and is the life line for the area!
Salutations, JLourenco

The cottage my husband's cousin used to rent was the old logging cabin, still heated with a wood burning stove, no bathroom (we showered under the hose outside). The last time we were in the area, about 5 years ago, the old cottage was gone and a huge log cabin stood in its place. A new blacktop road had been built where there was a narrow path just wide enough for one car. Wild animals used to still visit the little old cottage.
Greetings, Doerthe
