A friend - who, at the time, was one of my student pilots - sits on a sightseeing bench at the rim of Kaiteur Falls. This falls, with a 740 foot drop, is one of the most unspoiled and impressive in the world. The view of the gorge downstream of the falls is one of nature's wonderfully wild panoramas.
