Abstract art. Algal growth in a waste water pond is the basis for this false-colour image.
Ian - this is beautiful - could you enlarge a little on this for us, please? An explanation would really be welcome! I am assuming that these are water patterns on ....gold dust?
Another beautiful and mysterious image, Yan! At this time - a golden!
Awesome reflections Ian -- your Tanami gold mine photos have created quite a stir.
Dear Bruce, Eva and Hazel,
In uploading the Coyote gold mine photo for GE, it seemed the right time to add some of my artistic images, this being one of them. You are right in recognizing that I have created an image by looking at water. I was using a 300mm lens so I am quite some distance away and above the surface, which creates some of the mystery because of the changed scale from what one would normally expect. The images is a mixture of brightly lit surface reflected colour, suspended matter and bottom reflection, all coloured by yellow filter.
I have seen this in the same 'light' as Hazel, expressing what I expect to encounter in a gold mill.
Thanks for the curiosity and appreciation.
Great photo, Ian and very symbolic! I like the title also! Best regards, May
I enjoy swapping images and creativity with you.
Very interesting image, Ian. And the title is great! Best wishes, Liviu
It is clear we both like being creative, Liviu, with the details that we see in our surrounds. Warmest regads,
