Very nice place! I invite you, when you have the time, to see a wonderful part of the world, in my country, Romania: the city in which I live and its surroundings. I promise you won’t regret it, thank you, the best of wishes, Sorin!!

This is a virgin forest? If so then why is so much sand? Hello from Romania!

The devistation in Australia was very bad, with many people lost in the fires. And, yes it was almost 'virgin forest,' but there were homes amongst those trees & bushes: almost all of them were lost this time around in several large areas.
Australia is actually a sand island, 6th largest country in the world, largest, flattest bit of earth ('The Times Atlas, 8th Edt.) Mostly sand I'm afraid - I must say I liked the bits I lived in for 18 years.
Cheers, Rosina. Peterbnz, Christchurch, NZ.

The fires were on 7th February, 2009 and 171 people lost their lives, over 2000 dwellings were burned, millions of native animals died and almost half a million hectares of forest, farmland and towns were burned. Temperature in Melbourne was 46.3, hotter elsewhere.
This is most likely ash in this photo, because there are only sticks left, so all the undergrowth and tree canopy has burned as well.
You must have forgotten our mountains Peterbnz (I know they don't compare to your glorious southern alps) but we do have them and they aren't sand!!
Cheers to you in chilly in old ChCh !!

WOW!
Very nice photo that shows us a beautiful garden.
All the best 2 U,
Mahdi
Inspector H snaps!!, on July 10, said:
What??? Mahdi, better put your glasses on and read the comments. This is not my photo, but have to let you know this is not a garden, it is the burned trees and ashes from a major bushfire here outside Melbourne on February 7th and a lot of people were caught and died.

Wow! Yep, I agree. This sort of situation is, with above information, very, very bad! "Without the glasses" could be a winter landscape - kind of beautiful - , but the reality is very bad and sad! Greetings from São Paulo (Brasil), André.
clancy-of-the-overfl…, on August 13, said:
OK Andre, thanks for taking another look and replying. It was a terribly tragic day and it is hard to see this mistaken as a nice garden. We don't know Rosina but her photo certainly shows the devastation of our landscape. H
