mb - 1. Beautiful Countryside in Evening Light in Aberdeenshire Scotland
Nearly 9 pm and no accomodation yet, but I enjoyed nevertheless this beautiful landscape in the evening sun after a long journey from Allendale in Northumberland.
Beautiful shot May,you have picked the one area in Scotland that got a bit of Sun, You must be dog tired after this drive, with no accommodation, in the middle of nowhere, lucky you are a girl, you can just sit and cry! :D scally
Jurgis, thank you so much! I appreciate your comments very much! Kind regards, May
Billy, thanks a lot, people usually don't believe, how beautiful the countryside of Scotland is, they usually only know pictures of the lochs or the sea. Best regards, May
Fai, thanks a lot! Yes, I was surprised and happy to find these colours in the field, lit by the evening sun! Best regards, May
Tom Portschy, thank you very much for your compliment and the Y*! Yes, I am an architect, pleased to meet you! :) Sorry, I don't vote for any contests, but I'll visit your gallery with great pleasure! My best regards, May
Domi, chaque fois que je vois un de tes beaux commentaires, ca me fait sourire de joie! Merci! Tu est une personne si sympa, presque comme Michka, ;) non, non, au moins comme Michka! :) Merci, Amitiés, May
You must have found accommodation that evening I presume? It was the need of petrol or food that often became pressing as I drove on and on, exploring till almost midnight - hours and hours after everything had closed. And for the same reason, why would one not be enjoying every moment of daylight in such fascinating and beautiful landscape. That magic hour for photography seems to be hours long in the summer of northern Europe.
Aberdeenshire - the beautiful landscape of my Scottish forebears!
Dear Ian, that day, I drove from Allendale in Northumberland up to Aberdeen till I found something suitable (picture with grey granite houses) at about 10:30 pm. I started to look after Dundee and went on and on.
I was rewarded with this beautiful sunlit sight on a country road between Stonehaven and Peterculter. It was a weekday and all B&Bs as well as the hotels were full. They said, it was because there were so many oil workers on the East coast. I knew about your forebears, I still have dozens of photos to upload from this travel around Scotland from last year.
