These strange formations of granite develop in response to continued subsurface weathering of joint blocks over millenia, and thier subsequent exposure by the removal of weathered materials by mass wasting processes.
Your pictures are not only beautiful, but highly instructive. One of my favourite is the precarious Golkonda walls. Thank you and keep posting, I'm using your pictures in my classes.
