Ellanor C. Lawrence Park, a unit of the Fairfax County Park Authority, includes historic Cabell's Mill built in 1785.
The trail from which this photo was taken rises quickly from the bridge over the stream. There is evidence of "mountaineering beavers" as there are beaver cut trees within yards of this photo location. For chunky little beavers this seemed quite a hike up into the hills far away from refuge in the water.
