Ugich, Yaroslavaky Region. Kremlin Transfiguration church and the Volga behind

English: Uglich (274 km from Moscow and 87 from Yaroslavl). It belongs to the cities of the Russian Golden Ring. It is a city of about 40 000 people on the Volga, known from 937. Uglich.

The events occurred in Uglich in 15.05.1491 have turned a history of Russia. There was killed or killed himself the last son of Ivan the Terrible, Dimitry. In 1613 the first Romanov, Mikhail was elected as a new tzar.

Les événements de 15.05.1491 ont changé l’histoire de la Russie. On y a tué ou s’est tué lui-même le dernier fils d’Ivan le Terrible, Dimitri. La version officielle dit après l’enquête, faite par des grands nobles, qu’il s’est tué pendant la crise d’épilepsie étant tombé sur le canif avec lequel il jouait avec d’autres enfants. La version des proches et de la population – on l’a tué d’après l’ordre de Boris Godounov (le poème de A.S. Pouchkine “Boris Godounov” et l’opéra de Moussorgsky). Avec ce garçon la dynastie des Rurik s’est terminée. Le nouveau tzar Boris Godounov n’était pas aimé et accepté, il meurt, et plusieurs Faux Dimitry paraissent. Le premier, marié avec une fille noble de Pologne, Marina Mnichek (Maryna Mniszchówna) a fait venir les troupes polonaises en Russie. Pendant ~8 ans duraient les troubles : 2 autres faux Dimitris prétendait d’être les tzars, un tzar du court règne Vassily Chouisky et la guerre avec les polonais. En 1613 le premier Romanov, Mikhail, était élu.

Русский: 15 мая 1591 года в северо-восточном углу Угличского кремля, при загадочных обстоятельствах погиб последний отпрыск династии Рюриковичей - царевич Димитрий. Это событие имело роковое и трагическое значение для России. Оно стало прелюдией "смутного времени" - кровавой эпохи гражданских войн, самозванцев, интервенции и разорения страны. Углич подвергся страшному разгрому в 1610-1611 годах, и только со второй половины XVII столетия в городе вновь развернулось строительство каменных храмов. Углич.
