What's not to love about this shot, Marilyn. What details of the vista you may have lost to the cloudy, perhaps stormy weather you more than made up for, as the title "proclaims," with the powerful imagery of the heavens having something to tell us.

Great contribution to your collection.

Fantastic rays of light pointing to the wonderful mountain landscape, well captured Marilyn.

Thank you, Hank and Ian.

We use AAA maps when we travel, and they mark "scenic" roads with little green dots. We were surprised to see no little green dots on the Georgia map, though there were some nearby in neighbouring states.

Finally I noticed this dots on this one scenic road near where we were going. We routed ourselves to include it, and we were certainly glad we did!!

Well, aside from the obviously magnificent moment, your title just makes this shot!

It's beautiful, Marilyn. The whole combination sort of gives me goose bumps.

A splendid capture, no doubt.

I hope you are doing well. . . . Still traveling, I see!

All the best to you,

Mary Alice

Thanks for stopping by, Mary Alice. We got home Tuesday night just before midnight, but I still have lots of photos to deal with. Special thanks for your nice comment on this one. It was a glorious view!

Now we're already trying to schedule our next trip for I still have a great deal of work to do in the archives. Maybe late in April. The relative who had the aunt with the house in Covington may join us for part of our time, and so we may actually go and see the house that you photographed!

Very best wishes, Marilyn

Hi Marilyn, since my ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway i really love to that kind of views.

And plus: by zooming out the map i just see that is "near" Dahlonega. A wonderful place for washing some Gold - LOL.

Oh No! Do you mean that you're going to actually get to go Inside of the beautiful house in Covington? Oh, I am so jealous! I tried to peek in all of the windows and doors, but couldn't see too much. I bet it is absolutely fantastic inside. You simply MUST take pictures if you do go in there, okay? =)

You're very welcome for the visit and comments. I always stop by here for a pick-me-up, as your photographs never fail to give me a good feeling inside.

wishing you a beautiful weekend,

Mary Alice

Thanks for your comments, Michael and Tjeert, and especially for the Y*, Tjeert. I'm so glad we hunted out this "scenic road"!

Mary Alice, I don't think my relative has the power to get inside, and I think probably be too sad for her, so see what's becoming of it. Like you, I'd love to see it, too!
