We passed this way in late November 2006 and I took the same two pictures of the Hall!

Before leaving Middleton Hall we took a short walk around the surrounding woodlands and enjoyed the autumn colours.

I have always thought that you can see something new, or at least in a different context, and on this walk it was the first time we had come across this fungus.

Hey, it's so strange - I only went there the first time last weekend! It's an interesting place and I will certainly return - perhaps on a sunnier day, though... your photo of candle snuff fungus is a treat; it's actually quite hard to come by, so well spotted on that one!

Thanks for the nod to my photos, you're a true gentleman, and a clear exponent of the essence of Panoramio.

Thanks Bob,

I have a feeling there will be many cross references!
