Very nice, Marilyn..wonderful depth and lovely contrast. You just bounce all over the place, don't you? Is your job enabling all this traveling about? It must be very nice to see so many wonderful places...we certainly appreciate you sharing them with us.

Regards, Julie

Da Moose is right Marilyn, as usual -- and I have been enjoying the entire series. You have made great use of your time in the south.

Marilyn, a beautiful composition through your window. Cheers, Daniela

Thank you, jenper, Sam, Julie, both Bruces, and Daniela. I thought I'd probably posted enough photos of the fort, but I really liked this "window shot," so I gave in to temptation. I'm glad you like it, too. (Special thanks, Moose, for the *)

Julie, my husband is retired so that allows for the distant trips. Both of us still go to professional meetings (with the non-member tagging along), so that accounts for more of the travel. I'm an "independent scholar," and independent scholars don't retire! So now we're going to Atlanta to do research for me, and since we work really hard during the week, we need weekend escapes!

Wonderful perspective, dear Marilyn. Beautiful contrast of horizontal colour lines of fields with the general mood of the photo.

Warm regards, Eva
