It is wonderful shot
Thank you so much
Thanks for your kind words. I really appreciate it.
Very nice indeed. Love the reflection. Great shot!
YBMW, I appreciate all your kind comments and the time you gave my collection. It's a great compliment. Thank you very much.
What a beautiful shot, Hank. I gave it a yellow star. FYI, I have a tag for Burr Trail, one of the scenic roads in Utah.
Thanks Eve. This is one of my favorite all-time shots. I still like to view it "Original Size" in Panoramio because of the richness of detail in the glacier and the mountain behind it. It was very early morning when we hit College Fjord; the water was quite still and there was still a faint trace of mist in the air which gave it almost a dreamlike quality.
I always view photos I like in original size. It's nice when the photos are posted large enough to appreciate them. The texture of the ice is wonderful.
Yep, I was really lucky with this one.
Ice texture is awesome Hank :)
Thanks Rosina, this shot blows me away every time I look at it too. Everything worked right.
Wow - twice! The Alskan icefalls certainly are more dramatic than ours. Congrats on a great shot, Hank!
Considering the beatiful mountain photos you have contributed, Snemann, your comments are especially appreciated. Thank you.
Lugar extraordinario y bellisismo. Your foto is great.
Saludos from Spain.
Hi Epi. After having viewed your collection I am especially flattered that you like my pictures. This was a special moment in a special place. I am so lucky to have had the chance to see those glaciers while they still exist. Thank you very much.
Thank you J.Mackaay. I appreciate your visiting my pages, nad in this shot you have chosen one of my absolute, personal favorites.
Greetings Redi, and thanks for the compliment. This is my favorite shot from my Alaska trip a couple of years ago. There is so much to see, and its beauty is so unlike everything I am familiar with. Thanks again.
Thanks for the compliment, Bruce, and thanks for making this a favorite of yours. It's a pleasure to be so honored.
The glaciers in College Fjord are (not surprisingly) named for colleges, women's colleges except for Harvard Glacier at the end of the Fjord. I think this is the Smith Glacier. The other names heading south are: Bryn Mawr, Vassar, Wellesley and Barnard.
You'll need to be on a cruise of some sort to hit this magnificent part of Alaska. good luck on youe plans, and thanks again.
Beautiful! How many generations ahead will be able to enjoy this? Thanks for sharing with us this wonder! YS!
I share your concerns; believe me! The title I gave this picture reflects my feelings about it too. It remains a favorite of mine.
