Just heard on the radio newcastle Paddy McDee says Alan Shearer is to take charge of managing the Toon, at least til end ofseason, not an APRIL fools either!( announced at 11.15 pm tonight)
I bet thye park will be full at next game!
That's astonishing news! You listen to Radio Newcastle?
Nice and I bet if some home improvement enthusiast (like me for instance) tried to straighten up the windows on the left (which were clearly designed by a drunk architect who had lost his set square) there would be an explosion in the planning department doontoon !
I wait with keen enthusiasm for the Olympus tag Keith. I also have not finished a film yet!
Cheers Jethro. I have hit a snag with the film photography which can only be sorted by me getting a proper film scanner.
The first film was developed and scanned to cd but the quality wasn't high enough and they did colour correction before saving, resulting in very noisy photos.
The second film was D+P'ed with an intention of scanning from print, but I hadn't realised that these days prints are produced from digital scans and snanning a print of a medium quality jpeg file doesn't give a quality finish.
Understood and noted this when we took a friend's film into a high street photography shop in Ashford, M'sex a couple years ago.
This end of the world we have a huge dept store chain (Target) that has invested in great equipment and does a great job. Perhaps go downmarket and go to a bigger store rather than small high-street specialist. Try Asda, who are offshoot of Wal-Mart who may have got the volume to get some good gear!
Take original negs and just get them to put on CD for starters. Cheap way to see if any good!
Hope you don't mind my suggestions, good luck.
It was a Noritsu S2 film scanner
We don't have any local Asdas that do developing - they just have a machine that you put your digital flash card in to get prints.
I am watching out for a decent film scanner on ebay, but it is isn't a priority at the moment.
