I hadn't noticed him, kamaly. He's just standing there so proud and straight like he owns the place.
He'd just flown over from near where I took the black and orange sunset. I'm not sure this is the same owl as in my other shots, because the wing span on this one was HUGE - as I heard him take off and start to fly toward me, I'd wondered if it was a great white egret because the wingspan really must have been at least 4'. But egrets shouldn't be here now, and it was really awkward as it started to fly, so I hit a bunch of shots to see if anything would come out to let me tell what bird it was. Yup - Mr Snowy Owl!
bummer my snow has gone they can see me, now a worthy shot of the bird. looks like you had a real good night . steve
Cool! He gave you a private show, kamaly. Good for you.
LOL, Steve - I think you got it just right! and not1word - yes! he did give me my own private show here - it was really sort of an honor he flew over so close to me. Wish I'd thought to switch to the action setting to get him flying by, but even without the photo, it's sort of burned into my brain.
Simply Perfect kamaly!!
Thanks very much for that tom - cheers!
Great title. Loved your story - sometimes the photos burned in our minds are the neatest. Simply a great set of photos!
Thanks very much joyfotos - it was amazing how great the 15 minutes of this clear sky sunset turned out to be!
You certainly made the most of the 15 minutes that you got. Great series!
well done shot
