And Hi Helen - thanks for that! We'll excuse you ;) it's great to see you back! (though lol, I know: its starting to get chilly there, and so you aren't outside enjoying the nice fall weather now.)

Guy and all the others I decepted with this one: Mystery of the Piers solved! (and now I realize why I never noticed this view before!) These pilings/piers, whatever you want to call them have floating docks attached to them in summer. And now I realize they are visible in the air photo. And as for why I haven't noticed that? OMG, I stay as far away as possible in summer! Even though only April, it hit 90F here on Saturday. 'My' desolate beach and empty campground over night became a teeming metropolis of tents, campers, RV's, blaring boom boxes, portable TV sets, softball games, bicylists circling,...... you name it! Never mind any interesting birds, not even the seals that hang out on the rocks off shore until the end of May usually stuck around!

The touristas are no excuse for abandoning your post, kamaly. We show up at all times and seasons, and the valiant photo-documentarian must be prepared and ready to wade into the teeming fray, and show us with unflinching eye and lens the unspeakableness that is found.

OK, n1w, you've shamed me into it. Here's one more gooey sunset, already starting to turn to amusement arcade cotton candy and raspberry ripple ice cream....
