I did not even realize what it was until after I took the photo. See what a photo contest does - it gets people seeing more things that were there all along!

You have an SX10 ! How do you like it Joyfotos ?
My wife ordered mine before Christmas (2008) and it didn't arrive so in early February we canceled the order! Still not got round to buying one but I am still sure it is the model for me .

Jethrohoyt So far I really like it. I am still just getting used to it. I have arthritis in my neck and a kid in college....so it fits me fine. I couldn't talk myself into going back into the SLR type digitals after years spent leaving the the SLR's at home and carrying the lighter point and shoot. Plus did not have the money either. Noticed the SX10 when Circuit City was closing and realized it was within my budget - ended up buying at Best Buy after I showed them Dell's ad for it.
The things I like so far - still relatively light and basically like the A610 BUT you can use AV and Polarizing filters, can override flash enabling night or existing low light photos, can shoot using the viewfinder or the screen, and of course the 28 to 500 range is pretty phenomenal. I know the lens is relatively slow compared to some of the SLR types but so far I have done ok. The photo I took today of the turkeys was literally swing up on the fly and shoot with the turkeys at a full run about a quarter mile away. It is not a great photo - lacks a little in sharpness - but still pretty amazing under the circumstances.
The thing I hate - just like all the reviews I read - is the new toggle switch. It has a million functions on it & is too sensitive. The one on the A610 & A630 was similiar but easy to switch between functions - you never bounced all around like this one. I still really like the camera though.
The ice sculpture photos are taken with the SX10. At the time my card reader was not working and I scanned them in. Also the trumpeter swan photos I just posted.
Well enough..... never ask a photographer about a new camera. Let me know if you have more questions.

jf, that is a nice former door. And that little horsey out front and rounding the corner is cute! It matches the brick. What a lovely contrast of textures too.
Well done!

I was searching for a good spot to take a photo of the new car for the daughter at college & this worked great since the car is silver. Then decided should take a shot after I moved the car. As I was doing this I realized what it was and the title came to mind. Glad the shot turned out well.
The horse is a little tattered from winter but a very intriguing creature. He belongs to the store across the alley, I think, called Red Bird Music.
Thanks for your visit!

You must have spent quite a bit of time here to read all that! But the conversation is part of the beauty of Pano, isn't it?
I know what you mean about the red horse for red bird. Unfortunately the red horse has left for greener pastures. Good I got the shot when I did.
