The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at Tixall wide, named due to the owner of the then Tixall Hall insisting that the canal in view should look like a lake.
To the right of the towpath there is a SSSI called Rawbones Meadow, a flood plain of the River Sow, and is classified as a 'species rich rushy pasture' and supports a specialised range of flora.
