does it snow every winter

Gil Cavalcanti on July 12, 2009

Hi Josh,

snow in England is a bit of hit and miss. Some years there is plenty (I think this year we had more snow than we had had in a very long time), other years there is none.

Why are you so curious as whether it snows every year in the UK and Canada and how sunny these places are?

i want to live in england or canada but how did you know i asked how sunny places are and about canada

Gil Cavalcanti on July 15, 2009

Hi Josh,

anybody who clicks on your name above your comment can see all the comments you have made to other photos.

About a place to live, purely weatherwise, Canada seems to be better if you can stand the cold. They have more snow and it gets colder, but the winters are not as dark, gloomy and wet as they are in the UK.

For whatever it is worth, you can check the quality of life index. But all of this is secondary, as the most important things are how easy it is to migrate to a new country (if it is at all possible) and how good a job/education you can find there. Averages are just an indicator which may not reflect your particular situation.

i have to ask one more thing do you have to pay tax in the uk and how much if you do sorry but i just want to know becuase in the us you have to pay alot its a wierd question but i like to learn about alot countries mostly eurupe

Gil Cavalcanti on August 20, 2009

lol! Taxing people is like milking cows: you want to get the most milk with the least moo. In Europe, the US is famous for being a place where government gets a lot of moo and very little milk. There you can run a successful party whose main pillar is "low taxes".

In Europe it is very different and taxes are substantially higher, though the UK is still probably one of the places where it is not too bad. Take a look at wikipedia to see about income tax and other taxes in the UK or whichever other country you may want to know.
