Flamingos adorn this shallow lake and feed on Spirulina, a blue-green algae that is the only life form that can live in such extreme alkaline conditions. Eagles fly down and grab the slower bird as prey, but in the air these elegant birds fly at high altitudes to avoid the eagle.
