Hello Francesco,

Yes!

Thanks to Fuji Velvia 100 slide film. I use to shoot in Velvia, Now I have a Canon XT and no longer have to spend $12 for a 36exp roll..

Thanks for the compliments..

Hi Michael I understand what you say, 100%!!!! I had always used Velvia 50 as well (Velvia 100 only lately because as you know it came on the market few years ago only); if you look at my US pictures you will understand. And now, as yourself, I got a dgtl camera; yes, no more 12usd, but you will agree that there is no more way to have the same saturation/colours we had with velvia, right?!?!

Francesco,

Velvia was nice to use. I always had problems dealing with the heavy contrast. Other than that it had one of the best color saturation around..

Hi Francesco and Michael, saturated colors: A pol-filter and shooting your pictures in RAW will bring you nearly each saturation as you like. I have put one example to my pictures "Blick zur Seebergspitze.jpg". It is not the maximum possible but in my opinion -more- as enough. I think you are aware about of my hints but may be it helps...

Greetings from Germany!

Herr Sonstiges,

thanks for the comments!

This was one of my first images using Velvia. When I shoot non-panoramics I try to use my circa polarizer and adjust my the image's saturation in the camera before the shot. Works quite well.

I looked at your Blick zur Seebergspitze

Very nice composition and colors!

Have a great day!

Hey Michael,

Lovely colors in this image. Actually all of your work is nicely saturated. I love the look of Velvia and reproducing it in digital can be a challenge. I've been using a plug-in to PS called "Velvia Vision". You can also use it as a standalone. Well worth the $25. Check it out at : http://www.fredmiranda.com/software/ . Very useful little software.

Love your work, Tom

lovebend,

I am interested. Contact me and let me know what you have in mind. I'll need to know print size in inches and dpi.

My E-mail is thunderwolf@comcast.net

This is an old image taken with slide film and scanned into my computer. I'll dig up the orginal and we will see if it will do the job for you. We will talk more about the images use and pull up a license for that use..

If this one does not work I have a few others that might work.

Thanks for the opportunity.

Michael..
