Your recommendation isn't simple to realize for me, but maybe you will try to live in center of European part of Russia where I grew up? We are snowed for a five month every year and it is normalcy.
Thanks KatieJean for pinpointing the exact location. When I lived in Greenville, we used to drive all over the hilltowns and I couldn't for the life of me remember the spot where we stopped to take this picture.
AndyMack, thats OK you are correct with county route 6! That sure is a beautiful picture of the valley, kudos to you, wish I could be there sometime when the colors are that beautiful. I know the Greenville area very well also, was just there this summer its getting quite crowded! My cousin runs the saw shop in town.
Alexandr.Sidorkin, are you speaking of Latvia? My Grandmother came from Lithuania, I now know why she left. Sorry you didn't or don't have snow plows in the European part of Russia. The longest we were ever snowed in was about 1 week. Must have been a relief to my G'mom.

I traveled this road on my way to school in Berne for 13 years...it was very difficult in the winter. But beautiful, yes.

Sorry, but I can't believe that weather may be too bad in NY, even in the winter.
