Hey!! I grew up in Fallon NV - when there was no Loneliest Phone...nor a state park either. Good photo. Thanks for a pleasant reminder of a place once enjoyed before the crowds arrived.

thanks Patriciamae for your comments. When I was in Sand Mountain there was nobody, and the state park seemed to be abandoned, guard's house was empty, and the place was very quiet with a warm temperature for november as you can see in my other photos from this place

The phone and wood are no longer there. I made a trip out to Sand Mountain back in March '09 and it was gone. If I remember right, it was still there in October '08.
