Thanks Eve :-)I took it in northern Greece. In this region there are still a few bears and wolves and a lot of snow. And the best is that nobody goes there in the winter. It is perfect for a lonely walk through the snow...

Caspar, I did not realize there was such high, wild country in Greece. This is the great thing about Panoramio. Thank you for sharing your photos.

Didn't you freeze your ass out ? Very nice photo Caspar and what a fantastic excursion that must have been. The refuge is closed that time of season , did you camp or return to Papigko ?

Yes, you're right! It was a cold day and the snow was fantastic. I just regreted not to have my snowboard with me! On the way up I passed near a place where wolves had hunted down 2 of the local horses. Normally they don't do it but at this place there was a lot of snow and the horses could not defend themselves anymore... Strange experience...
After reaching the refuge I went back to Mikro Papingo where I had rent a room. The area is fantastic and very lonely when there is snow :-)
