The church of St. Michael is maintained by the Redundant Churches Fund, St. Andrew-by-the-Wardrobe, Queen Victoria Street, London EC4, with money provided by Parliament and the Church of England, and by the gifts of the public. Although no longer used for regular worship, it remains a consecrated building. The church is a building of grey sandstone, dating from the 14th century and consisting of chancel, nave, north aisle and an embattled western tower, with pinnacles and octagonal spire.
