Salt Street (An old salt route)
This ran from Salter's Bridge crossing of the River Tame near Alrewas, through
Edingale, Harlaston, Haunton, Clifton Campville, No Man's Heath, Twycross,
salt street,curious name it is.
This is just a track, but formed part of a very ancient road on which salt was transported from one part of the country to the other.
The name has been handed down from ancient times.
Best wishes Peter
