Hallo Günter, you've got an extensive gallery and you have documented the countries where you have been working very well. Turning the pages of your photo-album is like reading the history of the nineteen seventies and eighties. The pictures of bomb craters in Vietnam, the blown-up railway bridge in Mozambique, and the 1986 evacuation from Aden speak for themselves. The misery these peoples have gone through, I am sure your work has contributed in building up these countries again.
Very fine picture, this. One should think there is no life possible in an environment like this, but always there are some stubborn trees, bushes and grasses, and that is already enough to attract a few camels and sheep and human presence (also stubborn, I guess).
Best regards, Claus
Hello c.s. Claus,I thank you for your dear comment and visit my gallery.
It is true my paintings are a narrative of our professional lives. I was from 1973-1991 on construction sites abroad. We have seen the misery in poor countries and many times we have said: "We can be happy to live in an orderly world." My wife of our white poodle has accompanied me. On page 9 you can see us. With friendly greetings dear Claus to you and your family remain Günter
