What a beautiful picture postcard Carlos. I know you must be busy recently as you are missed here on pano but if you do have a moment to spare I would love to know what is written on the front of this postcard.

Warm wishes to you and your family Carlos and a very Happy Easter to you all.

I was very pleased to have news from you my dear Sam, and I'm happy that you liked the picture on the postcard.

Here follows the translation of the well humoured text written on the 5th or 6th year of last century: Today we are in the perfect antithesis of Tomar and Santarém. While there we were amusing ourselves, here we have to work, because we are obliged to do so, but I still put my Hope in new coming enjoyments. Sincere compliments from Amadeu.

The mentioned Tomar and Santarém are two towns in the center of Portugal, and the postcard was addressed to a lady in Coimbra.

I wish you have a nice Easter in the company of Freddie and all your family.

Big hug from Carlos
