HI Paula A lovely view of the Bay really nice even the sea looks blue insted of grey. I think the Yorkshire Coastline is very scenic its worthy of a Y* as well Regards Alan

That is a really nice shot Paula, this just has to be one of the most beautiful bays on the east coast. From the vantage point of my boat, this is such a magical view ;>)

Alan. Only a few years since, the area in front of the camera was subsiding dangerously and threatening the future of the village.

It cost a small fortune to rectify and following years of earth works and drainage systems, the cliffs have now stabilised!!

Kind regards to you both,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Jim

Thank you Sonja and Alan! It is a stunningly beautiful coastline around here as Jim rightly says. The sunshine gave the ocean the wonderful deep blue colour! I am glad they protetected the village Jim, it would be a tragedy to lose it!

Beautiful landscape, but why Robin Hoods Bay?..

Paula K on March 31, 2009

Thank you FWWS, unfortunately the reason for the name of the bay has been lost over the years!! It remains a mystery!!
