Es como un bosque de leyenda...¿donde están los duendes? seguro que están esperando el atardecer para salir.

Preciosa fotografía.

Un saludo desde Asturias, Carmen.

Hi Samo T: quiet now but next week they will be racing trials motorcycles up this little stream bed in a round of the world championships. They are expecting many thousands to attend. I hope you are welll my friend.

Mario: great to see you here too: I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Many thanks for the kind compliments.

Buenas noches Carmen: si se trata de una mística muy poco bosque y no me sorprende demasiado si los elfos y hadas se aventuraron a cabo aquí por la noche. Cálidos saludos.

Warm regards,

Beautiful composition, wonderful light and shadow, looks like a classical painting :-) All Best Wishes, from Rome, Luka

Molti ringraziamenti per le sue parole gentile Luka, quest'area era molto coperta prima che era chiarito per consentire l'accesso di motociclette: le rocce sono così verdi perché non sono stato esposti al sole per tanto tempo.

Scaldare i Saluti,

Hallo Sean! Some kind of a mystic place... really nice shot again!!! Greetings from Munich! Mathias

Madidi on May 23, 2009

There are lots of little nooks like this across this forest Mathias: this spot was recently used in the World Motorcycle Trials Championships!! The area until recently was densely wooded before they cleared it for the trials and this lack of light allowed the green algae to cover the rocks.

Kind regards,

Sterntaucher on May 25, 2009

Hallo Sean, thanks for Your long and interesting answer! Usually destroying nature has not such beautiful consequences, right? :-) Kind regards, Mathias

Madidi on May 25, 2009

Unfortunately Mathias, these are commercial forests and eventually all these trees will be cut down. Still we can enjoy them while they are still here.

Many thanks for the considered comments.

Kind Regards,

Sterntaucher on May 25, 2009

Hmm... Sean, i hope, if it will happen that will cut down all these trees, they will do it carefully and beware a rest of the old beautiful trees. It take such a long time for a tree to get so beautiful like that one on the right hand side... And fairytales and legends need such trees and forests too... enjoy them. :-)

Kind regards! :-)) Mathias

Madidi on May 26, 2009

Apologies Mathias, I should have made it clear only the conifers are harvested, the old desiduous trees are left where possible. In fact this area is to be replanted with indigenous plants and trees when this phase is completed.

I recently passed a site where felling was going on and some of the trees were over 60 years old!! I certainly won't see the next crop harvested.

Warm Regards,

Sterntaucher on May 26, 2009

Thankfully they left these old trees, Sean. But i really can imagine who you must have felt when you saw the trees falling... that's not a good feeling.

Warm regards and a fresh "Servus" from Munich in spite of this sad story...
