Converted this to a B&W after a suggestion posted in the colour version. While I am no expert in B&W my first thought are this could be a bit contrasty. Chris
Hey Chris, great first step - a fine conversion. I'm guessing those highlights in the far rafters were hard to control.
You seem to have the eye for it - maybe keep an eye out for stuff like this by others to see their approach?
Good luck, happy journeys :)
Mark thanks for the heads up and I am sure if I slowed down a bit I could tease out the detail in the rafters without blowing them out so much. Chris
This is a fine picture nether-the-less Chris. As you say just a bit on the contrasty side but it sure has a lot of bite and character. Well done!. Herb
I Like it very much.. Very expressive.. Personally i think the contrast is OK.! Skyhunter
Awesome!! I'll add that to my faves! Cheers!
Don glad you like it I would have never thought to convert this to B&W without the suggestion from Mark I am also woking on a vertical version hope to post it soon. Cheers Chris

beautiful work in b/w!
Catherine,Bruce, Micha, Luso and Mario thanks for your wonderful comments and Y*s. I have pulled back from Panoramino in the last few months and have not been replying to a lot of the comments posted to my images. But it just happened that last night I won my local camera club B&W print of the year with this image so I am pretty chuffed. Cheers Chris

Good idea to made it in B/W!
I got some of this sort in HDR from Berlin.
Best wishes, Mika
