Looks like a pretty good run-off. That's a pretty cool looking bridge back there, Bits.

Many thanks to Da Wandering Moose who's now wandered over to California for letting me know about these great falls not too far from home! A little bit more water flow at the end of March than in November

(and Hey Bruce - cooool user number! I'd never noticed that before making the link.)

This looks like a spot you'll have to revisit a few more times, Bits. : )

Beautiful. It looks very English countryside.

Thanks not1word, Guy, Miguel (if memory serves!), Jean, and Cal - and of course giant Thanks to Bruce for letting me know about these falls he used to hang out at when he was growing up out here on the right coast. My sister lives maybe 20 minutes south but I'd never heard of them before - a great roadside walk any time of the year! So there'll definitely be other visits when I'm out in the area.

And yeah, the bridge was rather remarkable in this age of poorly maintained bridges in our little state here. It looked like it has had a recent renovation, compared to Bruce's shot from 25 years ago, so I'm wondering if the conservation trust that owns the property chipped in on the project or maintenance. It looked great.

Bruce - I didn't walk too far down the trail, partly because I was sneaking in the trip here when heading somewhere else, and partly because there was still a lot of snow and ice and just generally slippery wet rocks and ledges. Didn't want any headlines about a fool photographer slipping off a ledge into the the raging stream, so it made more sense to wait until drier conditions. But the view down the rocky wooded trail was sure alluring. Thanks again for letting me know about them!!! (and that signature sounds like the moniker for a railroad steam engine - da Moose Express!)
