is that a real shot or did u play with it??
Nixpix, on June 11, 2007, said:
Dear Jack...This is taken with a slightly longer exposure than normal which gives you the wispy effect on the water....A grad grey was also used to prevent the sun blowing out... regards... Nick

grad is a necessity today !
Jack Gall, on June 13, 2007, said:
what is grad? i just use a canon powershot S1 IS and seem to get some decent shots what does grad do?
LemnosExplorer.com, on June 13, 2007, said:
Grad or GRADuated filter(if it is grayish- Neutral Density -ND- GRAD) is a filter you put on filter holder in front of lens to block some light from a specific part of image depending on orientation (ie. diagonally) and in case of colour grad to add colour to specific part of image.
You must have it if you are interested in techique expansion to implement dramatic shots etc. This way, by blocking the sky area upto a point, the sky 'gets darker' in tonallity and balances with scene exposure as a total, retaining highlights, cloud detail etc.
Briefly speaking. You can add more and invert them as well, or add gelatin filters as well to warm the scene.
See www.Leefilters.co.uk (maybe www.lee.co.uk) www.chromatek.co.uk, www.tiffen.com etc.
bye
