I have wanted to canoe this river ( Prickett dam to M-38 ) for a few years now. Rapids ?

Not sure what there is since I've only poled the canoe upstream from M-38 a mile or two. I've heard that there are some moderate (class I or II) rapids but nothing as tough as the rapids below Sturgeon Falls. Let me know what it's like if you or anybody else reading this does it!

OK, now I've done the Prickett dam to M-38 section. Beautiful trip, lots of eagles, etc. Rapids class I or II at most under ordinary flow conditions. Main problem may be how shallow it often is. With an aluminum canoe you're gonna "stick" a lot in the first hour (of an easy four or five hours).
