Hi powermeerkat, You are are right, Condor has a wingspan up to 310 cm (Wikipedia). However, Wandering albatrosses has a wingspan up to 350 cm (Wikipedia). 310 cm is just the average.

I have seen both Condors and Wandering albatross at very close range, and the are both impressive sized birds. I do think that Wikipedia is right - Wandering albatrosses has the largest wingspan of any bird - rivaled only by the Royal Albatross.

Have you seen condors soaring over the Andes? "waiting for something down going to die" as Jose Feliciano sang?

I wish you had, because with your skills I'm sure you'd take a great pic.

BTW. the ones I saw had a wingspan definitely larger than 310.

But I never got to measure it. :-)
