Marilyn - The regeneration of nature is always such an inspiring sight. I'm always spellbound when there is a tiny plant persevering in an absolutely impossible place, where there is no future for it = but still it tries.

Thanks for your nice comments, Tjeert and Hazel.

There weren't many signs of new life in the woods last week, and I really wanted to see some, so I was glad when I spotted this! I think they are the leaves of the Marsh Marigold (Caltha palustris), and I would like to go back at the right time to see their cheerful yellow flowers.
