Really nice John. Hope to head up that direction soon for a day trip. Intending head out around the coast towards Newcastle. Anywhere you would recommend away from that route? Gerry

Thanks Gerry.

Definitely before you spend all day around Newcastle take a look around the Ring of Gullion and Cooley (Carlingford) - all of these places, including Mourne are easily accessible from Newry as your base. Alternatively take in a few sights along the Newry Canal.

I will look forward to seeing your take on mine and Séan's (Madidi) parts of the island.

Regards

John

Thanks John. Will be hard to match both your shots. I'll stay in Carlingford and my planned routes will probably change anyway. Hope to get in a heritage centre like the battle of the Somme centre in Newtownards but don't think I'll get that far.
