WOW!
Favorite Chipmunk? ..... I hear warning bells ringing Joy. I also like these little critters and enjoy watching them go crazy in the springtime.
But I cannot help feeling that if you grow too attached to them (like my wife did this winter to the squirrels) it will end in tears !
Lovely picture, I can never get them to keep still long enough. God bless and have a great holiday.
Jethro, I am sure you are normally right but we were only there for a night or two.
This little guy kept badgering us at our camp site looking for any food crumbs dropped. Finally we dropped a large marshmallow and he snatched it. It was a hilarious moment. He picked it up and kept spinning it round and round in his hands. I don't know what he thought of it - maybe it was the fact that it was so light for it's size or simply something he had never encountered before. Anyway it is one of those moments you remember as I have never seen a chipmunk play with food before. Maybe it was because it was too big to stuff in his cheek pouches immediately. I am sure he was used to marauding at the campsite for food each evening and why he was so photogenic. It seems capturing photos of animals in national parks is always easier that elsewhere.
Hope you have a good Easter as well!
Ah so sweet a wonderful capture of this cutie I must keep him Y* (I promise to look after him JF)
Found this by using that photo viewer. Really truly cute!
Thanks Sam! You must be taking better care of him than I am. It would seem I am sadly neglecting him...and the wonderful comments he garnered.
Thanks Jean x2:)
