10th June 2000. Facing East from West end of the Engine Hall. Opening exhibition - massive metal sculptures by French artist Louise Bourgeois - her famous 30ft high mother spider 'Maman' visible on the upper deck in this photo.

What a different perspective to my 35mm compact, was this taken using a digital camera?

Yes a 1.4mpx Olympus C-1400L, a 1997 model which I bought at a knockdown price in Dixons early 2000 as it had been discontinued. My first digital camera. The first one I thought good enough to be worth buying that I could afford. Very good camera in very good light. Useless in low light. Above image quite heavily processed through Photoshop.

Same location, different lighting, angle & camera
