For those who doubt what beauty is... here she is the godes of beauty and love: Aphrodite. If the picture aint a beauty than the sculpture is...and if it's not the sculpture, the godes is. So who will have no reason to vote for this one? LOL, Bart.

Sa va Bart, I remember a short Persian Poem we were taught in school:-

The moving finger writes, and Having writ. moves on nor all our Piety or Wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all thy tears wash out a word of it. Omar Khayyam. I like your statue, she would make a great wife (as long as you were prepared to do the Housework.LOL.

I,ve always thought this a very clever clever ditty. I wonder if you could translate it into Persian maybe Majid has heard of him? cheers scally.

Bart Aerts on April 24, 2009

A very wise poem Scally, I can't translate in Arabic. In your eyes maybe I am a multiglot but I know just one thing in Arabic and that's they read from the left to the right :-( I'm glad you like the staue. Yes she would be a great wife as I'm prepared to do the housework (like now :-)) Cheers, Bart.

Bart Aerts on October 19, 2009

Oh my, we allmost met Maria I live near to Kontich in Rumst! Glad you loved it. Regards, Bart.

It was a November morning in 2004, Bart. The Mayor of Kontich received our delegation at the Town Hall and presented us with a memorabilia of the city. We were taken to the Museum and the Bishop's house and we were offered a wonderful lunch at his very dining room. We even walked in the street market and had lunch at a Greek restaturant, which has closed now as I have learned by a colleague and friend who lives in Kontich. Pleasant surprise of the day, when we entered a church and heard Theodorakis music played. They were rehearsing for a concert!

Excellent work.

Kind regards to you,

Mahdi

Hi Bart, We are two persons in Quebec and working on a book short-run and needed a picture of Aphrodite. That's when we came across your picture and we believe this is the photo with the best shot we've found! Would it be possible to use it for the cover of our book? We could send you a copy of the book with good maple syrup!

Bart Aerts on January 16, 2012

Wow, I'm so proud you selected this photo for your book! Of course you may use it. I would be very happy to get a copy. I'll send you a private mail for my adress. Thank you both a good luck with the book. Kind regards, Bart.
