It is a nice picture indeed. But I think it is not peacefull with that house and junk in front of all those beautifull icebergs and rocks.

kristine hannon on June 15, 2007

That is the reason why I took it Piet, to show contrast. But peaceful it is, it is far away from human life and as you see the building has been abandonned long time agoo. Colors are not soo good; it is a scanned slide taken 10 years ago and with no adjustments. Almost all my pictures are scans from negatives or slides and none of them were adjusted or embellished. Even the penguins seem bleak in this place of desolation! Your photos are so interesting.

Thank you meade. It is indeed a wonderful place. Travel greetings!

Dear Kristine Hannon! I've read your report on your travels to those far off places and I just want you to know how much I admire your courage and your positive, let me say, heroic life! I thought those corners in the world are just for the toughest of men accessible. I too admire you for those gorgeous pictures which you present to us from these mostly unknown areas!- Above here you placed such a great photo! Excellent work!! Many warm greetings and the very best wishes where ever you are! Anton Trötscher

Dear Anton, thank you very much for all your wonderful comments on my photos. It is a pleasure to see that people enjoy watching them. I am very seldom active on Panoramio, so please forgive if I do not respond to your comments. I work on ships most of the time and the internet is usally not so good. Thanks again and kind regards, Kristine
