Greetings, Sean!

What a clever title that could be ... "The schoolmaster's escape!"

I am very pleased for your lovely praise, and so proud that you enjoyed the shot.

Thank you for stopping by.

I hope all is well in your world.

Warmest regards,

Mary Alice

Happy day to you, Jan!

What a pleasure to have you visit.

I actually did take that seat for just a moment! =) How did you know?

It would be a wonderful porch to hang a hammock on and just sleep the afternoon away in the warm sun. ( or maybe read a little bit too!)

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you are enjoying this Friday.

Very best regards,

Mary Alice

Oh, Mary Alice, I turn my back for just a little while, and you come up with a classic like this! It's simply beautiful, and so peaceful, too. But yes, it should be a rocking chair. Surely you could find one for them at a second-hand/"antiques" store!

Best wishes, Marilyn

Dearest Marilyn,

How wonderful to hear from you.

I believe you've been away for a few days? I hope all is well.

Thank you for such enthusiastic words. I'm delighted that this one appealed to you.

I couldn't agree more, I do wish there had been an old rocker out on this porch, but I had to settle with what I found. At least it helps portray the fact that this was indeed an old school house.

Now as far as being peaceful, that it was indeed! It was a wonderful moment . . . quiet and warm. The sun created the perfect balance to an otherwise chilly sort of morning. I could have stayed here for hours, perhaps even taken a little nap.

Thank you again for your praise. You know it means so much to me.

Wishing you a very nice evening,

Mary Alice

Maybe an ancient blues player with a slide guitar on his knee would fit nicely. I am so glad that the MaryAlice Eye continues to find little gems for us.

Keith,

You are so kind! You flatter me with such praise.

I am certainly pleased that this one caught your eye.

I couldn't agree with you more about the blues player and the slide guitar! I can almost hear him playing now.

It's very nice to hear from you again.

Wishing you well,

Mary Alice

Greetings, Agios, and thank you so much for your friendly visit to this porch!

A rocking chair indeed! Too bad we had to settle with a school desk, but I had to leave well enough alone.

I think it was an okay substitute seeing that it was an old schoolhouse though, don't you? =)

It's s nice to hear from you, and thank you again for stopping by.

Best regards,

Mary Alice

Thank you so much, Elmer! It struck me this way as well. The sun was most welcoming. Had there been a hammock, I would have certainly stayed for an afternoon nap.

Thank you for your visit.

Hello there, Happy Paul!

How nice to hear from you. Your suggestions of a porch swing are wonderful! I don't think that anyone has mentioned one of these yet. Indeed, that would be just perfect for the scene.

I'm so happy to hear that your got the card, and you're certainly very welcome. I didn't realize that I was mailing it to your office. I hope the "Happy Paul" didn't get you to much attention, though I'm quite sure that it didn't go completely unnoticed. ;)

How funny.

You? Just one of the guys? I seriously doubt that, but okay! Whatever you say, Boss!

All the best to you, my friend,

Merry Alicia
