The last of three photos showing Dover Police making an arrest at the bottom of Priory Hill where it meets the High Street on the 9th of April, 2009, just after 1.30 pm. The photos were taken using a Samsung G800 mobile phone.

The detained man has now given up struggling all together and the arresting officer is now able to sit up and relax. Traffic was passing in front of me throughout the arrest making it impossible to accidentally overhear any part of the various conversations the police officers had. After waiting for a few minutes for the suspect to be led away I had to leave.

I'll add more information when it becomes available.

The other photos are: Dover Police Arrest 1 and Dover Police Arrest 2 (or use the Police tag).

The building now out of shot to the right of this photo is "St Martin's Court", a redevelopment of the church of St Columba, and scene of a fire on Saturday, 22 September 2007 - click on this fire link to see photos.

I read the Dover Express from cover to cover today, but found no mention of the arrest.

Consequently, I guess the best I can do is keep a look out for any related court case, should one occur.
