It looks like a beautiful paintig!
How can you make this photo by a exposure time of 15 sek. without a trace of movement??(clouds, moon, beam)
Spectacular night view !!!!!!!!!! Kind regards from Greece.
Thank you Herr Schwarr and Christos Theodorou!
There was very little wind and the clouds were moving very slowly. On the full size version of the image I have here (24Mpix), the blur of the clouds is much more obvious. If you look closely at the moon you'll see it's not exactly round due to its movement during the exposure.
I had to time the shot to include the light sweeps of the light house so it would likely have flashed twice in that time. The beam is blanked off within the lighthouse so it can't be seen from the shore, where I took the photo.
It all worked out very well!
Great photo! like and favorite!!

Fabulous photo! I have a client who would like to discuss the possibility of including this photo on the front cover of a book they are publishing. Could you please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the contact information where I could send a request letter with all of the details? Much thanks! Melissa
