I too have been flying all about likely places without finding a match. This building is a key I think as it is seen in at least one of your other photos. I still suspect the Falmouth area from the size of the waterway. Now I'm really curious. I'll "fly around" some more.

I love that Cornish coast, though I have not been there for almost forty years.

Good luck! The previous image is also a big clue http://www.panoramio.com/photo/21185017 Theres a railway line immediately behind the shed running along the edge of the estuary.

I've given up looking. I'm watting to hear back from my old friend (pictured) who knows Julian (present at the time but not pictured). These pictures were taken July 2001. I can only think that there might have been a big storm which washed away all the small huts along the railway embankment.

The post you see in the picture above is a marker put there by GWR. It marks the edge of the property owned by them. All the sheds were rented from Railtrack.

I am still looking off and on after a long search that even included following coastal rail routes. The steam engine in the background of that photo must be on one of the scenic/historical lines. It has to be on one of the larger waterways and near some sort of rail and that should really limit the search. Frustrating!

Do you have any memory of the larger, named place from which you drove or returned? That would help limit things too if it was not a long trip.

Mystery solved. This is taken from the North bank of the Teign estuary, opposite the large pub at Coombe Cellars, which you can boat up to at high tide, or walk across to at low tide.

Two years and a long way from Falmouth! Always nice to have a mystery solved. I hate to have a photo that I cannot place. The old surveying thing I suppose. It is always nice to get a really good fix.
