Hi there Sharon - love the image! I am one of those who loves relatively high contrast and rich/saturated colours, and you have captured these qualities perfectly! A nice contrast between the red rock and green vegetation.

~~West Coast Sharon~… on April 22, 2009

Hi Conrad. Thank you for your comment. I too like contrast but thought I might have overdone it with this one. I am trying out a new program for Photoshop called Viveza and I never quite know when to stop with color. Thanks for saying that I wasn't too over the top on this. Best to you and have a great rest of the week. Sharon

Hey Sharon, "Boy you're getting lots of free opinions!!" Good stuff, that's what makes Panoramio so cool...lots of "togs" commenting and giving advice to make us all better! As you know I'm a Viveza fan and agree with Tom L. less is best some times. But, at other times, bold is best! It's a conundrum that only the individual photographer must decide where to land. For me, I'm finding that Viveza eliminates the need for me to buy a polarizer, you can provide subtle highlights and accents to what you want the viewer to see...and, likewise darken or reduce color saturation to those items that you want to fade off. I love the program...doing bold, doing subtle... keep.SirFin the Wave

Hi SirFin. Thanks for the comments. I am going to try your advice on tone mapping one photo and see what happens. Never thought of doing it nor thought it could be done in Photomatix. I thought you needed 3 pictures. Never even thought of only combining 2 pictures to do away with ghosting. You are such a help. Speak to you later. Sharon
